Since childhood, sports have defined my life—from pickup games with friends to high school football, college rugby, and now Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Staying active means multiple daily showers, but I discovered a hidden downside: exposure to harsh synthetic detergents in so-called “soaps.” That realization led to Crushing Clean, a solution for athletes who refuse to compromise on health or performance.
At Crushing Clean, we handcraft our soap using simple, natural ingredients like plant oils, butters, and clays. We exclude synthetic fragrances, colorants, and preservatives, ensuring only the good stuff makes it into every bar. Some of our main ingredients and their positive impacts on skin care are described below:
Oils & Butters
Our soaps are naturally produced through the chemical process of saponification. We carefully measure out a base (lye) along with corresponding amounts of oils / butters (ie. Olive, coconut, castor, etc. oils, shea butters), which are then properly mixed together; producing our better Soap.
Pure Essential Oils
Our scents are sourced naturally through the use of different mixtures of essential oils. These have a variety of benefits, one being the absence of chemicals which are present in many fragrance oils.
Clay & Charcoal
Not to harp too much on natural ingredients, but even our soaps are colored through the use of natural products. Once again, we will not compromise in this regard. Different types of clays / charcoal are used to color our bars & provide benefits to the skin such as removal of excess oils.
